Toho Zinc today announced that it has reduced the time in which shareholders in CBH Resources Limited ACN 009 423 858 (CBH) will be paid if they accept Toho Zinc’s offer to acquire all of their shares in CBH for $0.24 per Share (Offer).

Sydney Mining Club Presentations by Ampella, Blackthorn, and Deloitte

june 2010 sydney mining clubPresentations at the Sydney Mining Club with Ampella Mining (AMX) with MD Dr Paul Kitto and Blackthorn Resources (BTR) with MD Scott Lowe, and a review of the Mining Super Tax by Darren Lee of Deloitte.
Two African exploration and development stories with Ampella focused on Burkina Faso, a land-locked country in West Africa and Blackthorn also in Burkina Faso (gold and zinc), Zambia (IOCG) and South Africa (nickel-platinum).

Ampella is exploring in the Proterozoic Birimian Greenstones of Burkina Faso for large tonnage bulk mining lode gold resources and volcanic hosted massive sulfide (VHMS) zinc resources.

Blackthorn Resources has an exciting outlook for 2010. A Heads of Agreement has been signed with Glencore International AG to establish JV for the Perkoa Zinc Project in Burkina Faso, there will be ongoing exploration at the Mumbwa IOCG project in Zambia with JV partner BHP Billiton who is now funding exploration activities, and gold exploration is also continuing in Burkina Faso on tenements adjacent to ground held by Newmont.
